Who we are

Vancouver Island Speaks is an entirely volunteer run organization providing local opportunities for imperative in-person discussions about important issues — particularly those affecting women’s rights.

Our events are aimed at addressing taboo topics often subject to self-censorship and even ‘cancellation’.

We invite all perspectives to join this respectful dialogue with the intention of healing our communities and achieving improved social cohesion in spite of sustained top-down efforts to divide and conquer, subvert reality, and impede on fundamental rights to freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.

By publicly signalling our collective support for the brave women speaking peacefully on sex-based rights in Canada, we hope to encourage any future venues ostensibly committed to principles of Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Assembly (codified in Article 19 & 20 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights) to remain strong in the face of coordinated intimidation, harassment and ‘abuse’ from radical activists seeking to shut us down.
